5 figure domain name sale on Domain Market Place
24 Sep, 2008 | Domain Names
The .au domain name trading website Domain Market Place has brokered yet another 5 figure .com.au domain name sale.
Last week the domain reid.com.au (a geographical domain name sold to a company of the same name) sold for $14,300, whilst a competing .au auction website only managed to sell pwc.com.au to Price Waterhouse Coopers for only $10,450.
The price difference seems a little odd and probably reflects on the young nature of the .com.au aftermarket, however if I was selling pwc.com.au and I knew Price Waterhouse Coopers was interested in the domain (obviously a no-brainer) i would've held out for alot more.
It does however make me wonder if brokering a domain on a website such as Domain Market Place brings in better sale figures than simply auctioning a domain to anonymous bidders.
